I have made several major changes in the last 5 years.  My husband was offered a job down in Tucson, AZ and we decided to accept.  We love Tucson.  We still have our  lake home  by Fergus Falls and go back  up there when we can.  In addition to moving,  I accepted a new position as the Chief Operating Officer for a regional insurance agency based in Phoenix.  As a result I  am working and traveling more than ever.

There have been lots of changes to my life the past 5 years since our 2014 reunion.

I retired from Target in June of 2018 after 26 years with them and took a part time job with the Minnesota Twins as a game day ticket agent.  It was time for a change!  And this has been a great year to be a Twins fan!

I'm still playing as much golf as I can during the summer months, usually getting out 2-3 times per week.  Unfortunately, my game hasn't improved as much as you think it would...

Beth and I built our "retirement home/summer cabin" on Sauk Lake.  Now I'm just waiting for Beth to retire.  We do get up there 2-3 times a month.

We sold our home of 20 years last year and are temporarily renting a townhome.  See above - waiting to move into our retirement home.  I was tired of taking care of two homes.

Two of my 3 daugthers were married and my first grandchild (grandson) was born May 15th of this year.  It's great being a grandpa!  Can't wait until we can play some catch!

Life is good!  Our health is good.  We're trying to travel as much as possible.  We spend 2 weeks in Florida every winter with thoughts of extending that to 2 months at some point.

Looking forward to see what the next 5 years brings!

I build a lot of restaurants in Minneapolis & St. Paul.  I hunt in the fall and snowmobile all winter.  Summers are filled with boating, biking and kayaking.  Plan on selling my home on Lake Minnetonka and moving north by the boundry waters.

Updates since 2019..

We both quit our jobs a couple of years ago. I say "quit" because "retired" sounds like we're "old" and I don't feel old yet. I had done 41 years designing special machines for factory automation and it was a good career, but time to log off and enjoy the things I would rather do.

Since exiting the work world, I'm having an active lifestyle. In the summer, I ride dirt & street motorcycles, ride MTB, and waterski. (if you want to know about E-MTBs, hit me up) I also do a lot of upkeep at the local MTB trail. Winter is the time for hockey, snowmobiles, and downhill skiing. All that, and the typical yard & vehicle maintenance stuff.

This past winter, Sue & I sort of returned to the work world in a temporary part time way. We had very fun jobs at the ski slope as ski instructors for the school kids. We didn't need to be great skiers for the job- we only needed to have more skill than school kids who have never skied before. Such a good feeling to teach the kids a new lifetime skill, especially the kids who struggled and wanted to learn.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!

During the past five years I started another land develpment company, Big Dog Land Developement, which has taken up quite a bit of my time. I am also working whenever possible at Koronis Tire and my other projects.

We are still living on Lake Koronis. Janet is a stay at home mom, and homeschooling our youngest son. As for our other children, Danielle is finishing up her Childhood Developement Degree. Laura will be attending UMD this fall to pursue an unknown field. Robert is 15 now and itching to get his drivers permit. Alyona and Dimitry are both 14 and will be starting 8th grade. And Thomas, 9, is at home with his favorite teacher, Mom.

Not much has changed in Hawick!  We are still laying the asphalt in the area & sealcoating cities & counties around the great state of Minnesota.  I am usually left at home to run the office, while they go on what I call working vacations.

In our free time, we enjoy golfing & trying to schedule vacation around hockey in the winter.

Our sons, Jesse (18) & Tanner (16), are working on the crew with Troy.  They keep us busy in the winter playing hockey.  Jeese will be a Senior and Tanner a Junior when school starts this fall.

We are now in-laws, as our daughter, Brittany (23), married Eric Frank in October of 2008.    They bought a home about 3 miles from us.  Brittany also graduated from St Cloud State in December of 2008.  Eric's parents are classmates Donny & Vicky Frank.

Update 2024

My wife Kari and I have been married for 42 years. People who have met Kari know I married waaayyy beyond my state in life. We have three adult children, two of whom are married with children. We are now at 3 grandchildren; 1 granddaughter and 2 grandson’s! All live within a few minutes of us, so we consider ourselves very lucky. The grandkids are such a treasure.

I still work as a consultant for TransUnion, but my two boys have fled for greener pastures. Some think my boys left the company because they were tired of listening to me, but I like to think otherwise. We have two awesome in-laws (son in-law & daughter in-law) and we get together quite often. It is so much fun spending time with them and the grandchildren. My son in-law is from Milwaukee and is a hard core Brewer and Packer fan. I’ve gotten him to warm up to the Twins, but he will never be a Viking fan. I guess we can’t have it all. My daughter in-law is from a small town in northern Minnesota and family means the world to her.

We are very excited to see your family updates and hopefully catch up with you at the reunion in September. See you soon!

Lori and I have been in Olympia for 15 years. I left VeriSign after 6+ years and now work for the State of Washington's Department of Information Services.

We spend as much time as we can exploring the west. We're not doing as much hiking and backpaking as we used to....now it seems we spend more time visiting our state wineries and exploring curvy roads with the Harley or Miata. Life is good.

We wish everyone well and hope to see everyone at the 35th or 40th.

We have had some changes since the last reunion - the biggest being our move to Montevideo.  We've been here for 3 years now and it seems like we are still adjusting.  It was a major change for our youngest, Joshua, being he was going to be a sophmore and moving to a new school was not part of his plans.  But, he finally made the adjustment and graduated this year.  He will be going off to college in Mankato and will be majoring in Pschology.  He would like to go a bit further and finish with a degree in Psychiatry (maybe I will be his first client!)
Other changes that make us both feel old is gradchildren!  We have two granddaughters - Natalie (3 yr) and Chloe (17 months).  Both girls are a special joy and we love having them visit.  Natalie is Uncle Joshua's biggest cheerleader at his sporting events.  Both girls belong to our second daughter, Kelli.
I have held two different positions since our move.  We made the move to Monte when I took a position as Dietary manager at Renville Health
Services, a nursing home in Renville.  I loved my job but when the opportunity came to work in our town I applied at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital and got the job as the Nursing Administrative Assistant.  It's different from anything I have done and is a challenge each day.  Lots of stress...something I could do without.  Todd also had job changes because of the move.  He worked at Firestone just across the street from our home.  Currently he took a position at Equity Elevator & Trading Company in Wood Lake as the Plant manager.  This is something he has done in the past and is happy with the job change.
Our girls, Heather, Kelli & Gretchen are all in different spots and come home as they are able.  Heather is a teacher at Mitchell Christian School in Mitchell, SD.  She taught school in Romania for 3 years and continues to travel there in the summer for short term missions outreaches.  Kelli manages a salon in Monticello and has the two girls.  She will be getting married in January.  Gretchen works and lives in St. Cloud.  She's the assistant manager at Aeropostale in the mall.
Our days are filled with Joshua's sporting activities and work.  Previously we planted pumpkins, squash and gourds which we sold each October.  It was fun to see the kids come and pick out pumpkins and take pictures in their costumes.  (I won't miss the back breaking work!)  Not much else happens here.  See you at the reunion!
